At Orum, we’ve always asked ourselves how we can push even further. In 2018, we took a bold step to break away from relying on third-party tech—the same tech that most AI dialers today still rely on—and instead built a platform we could fully control and continuously improve.

We’re continuing this legacy with our 2025 transformation and taking everything we’ve learned from our thousands of users and over a million calls made daily to deliver the smartest, fastest, and most reliable dialing experience yet.

Orum’s first transformation: A fully custom telephony stack

When Orum first launched in 2018, like many, we leaned on third-party tech to get started. Even back then, we saw the cracks.

Users started reporting delays—moments of awkward latency that could derail a call before it even began. Beyond that, the limitations of third-party platforms became glaring. Core features like voicemail detection and call routing lacked the precision we needed to create a seamless experience for sales reps.

It became clear that if we wanted to deliver the speed, control, and reliability our users deserved, we had to take matters into our own hands. That’s when we made one of the toughest, but most impactful decisions in our history: to rebuild our telephony stack from the ground up.

By taking full control, we unlocked the ability to refine every detail of the dialing experience, ensuring it was as fast, smooth, and reliable as possible.
