For a while I’ve been using the Sage feed reader to keep up on my RSS/Atom feeds. I like it quite a bit - it’s an extension to Firefox, so it’s easy to install, as well very simple to use.
The main drawback of Sage it is that its default news views aren’t very easy to read.
This is important to me - both personally (because I use it) and professionally (as an exercise) - so I designed a new one focused on being easy to read. The fonts are nice and big (but not too big), the columns are relatively narrow, and the posts are well-delineated. Plus, the design has some depth that just makes it pleasing to look at. Part of that whole “enjoyable” thing.
Once you’ve installed Sage, installing the new look is easy - just unzip the download into whereever you’d like, select “Options” from within Sage, select settings, check “Use custom style sheet” and specify the location of the css. Make sure the images are in the same directory.
Have fun!
