Josh Orum

As a business strategist with a background in information architecture, design and programming, Josh is an expert at the application of design and technology to business challenges, a skill that has helped him as a strategic consultant, product manager and entrepreneur, and which he uses today to lead Loud Dog and help Loud Dog’s clients. He understands the needs of business, the needs of customers and the need to make business between the two easy.

Josh uses his diverse experience and understanding to unite programmers, designers and decision makers to achieve remarkable results.

Through Loud Dog, Josh has worked with a range of clients, from very large (Fujitsu, Cisco Systems) to very small, all the while focusing making the web - and the world - a better place through better design: easier to use, nicer to look at, and better at enabling people to do what they want, when they want.

Before founding Loud Dog, Josh gained extensive business, strategy, programming and project management experience as an entrepreneur, product manager and developer at Surparts, Tomorrow Factory, Conference Planners and the Concord Group.

He is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College in California and, among others, was named Time Magazine’s 2006 Person of the Year.

Personal

Here’s my Flickr Photostream and my del.icio.us Bookmarks.

I enjoy hiking, climbing and skiing in the Sierras, and in addition to design, I’m passionate about urban planning and Constitutional law.
